  • Caterpillar 2 tons were inherited from the Holt companie's line up of tractors when Holt & C.L.Best merged to form Caterpillar. The model was produced from 1921 (originally called the "T-35" and listing for 375.oo!!!) and ran until 1928. After 1925 they were finally tagged as "caterpillars" so yours dates from 1925-'28.Oh yeah, in 1927 the list price had climbed a bit; it now cost 1,850 dollars!

  • Always liked those old tiller style steering levers on the early Cats. Looks like there's enough left to be worth salvaging for spares at very least.

  • By 26 The Cat 2 ton had lever steering so I would put your tractor at late 25 or very early 26.
